MASSAGE AFTERCARE ADVICE
To ensure you gain the most from your massage and feel your best afterwards,
please follow the advice below depending on your treatment.
GENERAL MASSAGE
• Drink plenty of water to help flush out toxins.
• Avoid caffeine and alcohol for 24 hours.
• Rest if you feel tired or light-headed.
• Take a warm bath after several hours to further relax muscles.
• Avoid strenuous exercise for 24 hours.
HOT STONE MASSAGE
• Expect deep relaxation or mild soreness – this is normal.
• Keep warm and avoid exposure to cold immediately after treatment.
• Continue drinking water to assist the body’s natural detoxification process.
• Avoid hot showers or saunas on the same day – your body has already been exposed to heat.
• Allow yourself time to rest and enjoy the calming effects.
INDIAN HEAD MASSAGE
• You may experience slight dizziness or drowsiness – rest and take your time getting up.
• Avoid washing your hair immediately if oils were used; allow several hours for absorption.
• Drink plenty of water to help flush out toxins.
• Avoid strenuous activity or stress for the rest of the day.
• Mild headaches may occur as tension releases – this is temporary.
If you experience any discomfort or reactions lasting more than 24 hours, please contact your therapist.

​We will post a beautifully presented, physical gift card directly to your address,
along with a presentation envelope for you to fill out and gift to your chosen recipient.

Please note: All bookings still require a £25 deposit
which will be fully refunded at the end of the treatment when the gift card is presented.

Terms & Conditions
These Terms & Conditions apply to all bookings, treatments, gift cards and loyalty cards provided by Her Therapy Essex.
By making a booking, you agree to the following policies.

1. Bookings & Deposits
1.1 A £25 deposit is required to secure every appointment.
1.2 Your booking is not confirmed until the deposit has been received.
1.3 The remaining balance is payable on the day of your appointment.
1.4 Online bookings allow for a 30-day booking window. For appointments further in advance, please contact us directly.

2. Cancellations & Amendments
2.1 You may amend or cancel your appointment up to 48 hours before the scheduled time.
2.2 Deposits are non-refundable if cancelled within 48 hours of the appointment.
2.3 Failure to attend without notice will result in a no-show, the deposit being forfeited, and a new deposit required for future bookings.

3. Waiting Policy
3.1 If the therapist arrives and there is no response at the client’s address, a 10-minute waiting period will apply.
3.2 If there is still no response after 10 minutes, the appointment will be marked as a no-show, the deposit forfeited, and the therapist will leave.

4. Health & Safety
4.1 Clients must disclose any medical conditions, allergies, recent injuries or relevant health concerns prior to treatment.
4.2 Her Therapy Essex reserves the right to refuse treatment if it may pose a risk to the client or therapist.
4.3 Clients must ensure adequate space for the massage table and a clean, safe environment for treatment.

4A. Female-Only Policy
4A.1 Her Therapy Essex provides treatments exclusively to female clients.
4A.2 If an online booking is made by a male client, the therapist reserves the right to cancel the appointment immediately.
4A.3 In such cases, the £25 deposit will be retained to cover administration and booking costs.
4A.4 Any attempt to bypass, misrepresent or ignore this policy will result in immediate cancellation and no refund of the deposit.

5. Gift Cards
5.1 Gift Cards may be purchased in any value from £10 to £100 and are redeemable against any massage treatment.
5.2 Gift Cards are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
5.3 Lost or stolen Gift Cards can be replaced if you provide the email confirmation details.
5.4 Gift Cards are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase.
5.5 Gift Cards must be presented at the time of treatment.
Online bookings with a Gift Card:
5.6 A £25 deposit is still required when booking online.
5.7 If the voucher value matches or exceeds the treatment cost, the £25 deposit will be refunded.
5.8 Remaining voucher balance will remain valid for future treatments.
5.9 You may request that £25 of your voucher value is used as your deposit — contact us directly.
5.10 All deposit and cancellation terms apply.

6. Loyalty Cards
6.1 One stamp is awarded for each paid massage treatment, including Gift Card payments.
6.2 Rewards:

3 stamps: £10 off

6 stamps: £20 off

9 stamps: 100% off
6.3 Clients may redeem discounts as they are earned or continue collecting for higher rewards.
6.4 After redeeming the 9-stamp reward, the Loyalty Card resets.
6.5 Loyalty Cards cannot be transferred or exchanged for cash.
6.6 Lost or damaged Loyalty Cards cannot be replaced.

7. Therapist Safety
7.1 The therapist reserves the right to end a session immediately if they feel unsafe, disrespected or uncomfortable.
7.2 In such cases, payment for the full appointment will still be required.

8. Payment
8.1 Payments may be made via cash, bank transfer or other accepted methods listed on the website.
8.2 Prices are subject to change, but confirmed bookings will honour the price at the time the deposit was paid.

9. Privacy & Data Protection (UK GDPR)
9.1 Her Therapy Essex collects your name, mobile number, email address and relevant health information for booking and treatment purposes.
9.2 Your information is used for:

9.3 Clients may withdraw consent for marketing at any time by replying STOP or contacting us.

9.6 You have the right to request access, correction, or deletion of your personal data.
